fate IS fiction
Well, some times it does get the better of you. Infact, MOST of the times. You cannot rule out the possibility that even if whatever you do, however hard you try, nothing seems to work. It seems like you are destined to lose. Certainly destiny does play its part. I realised that today. I learnt a great lesson today when I couldn't get through a written test for a placement. In spite of putting in all my efforts ,things didn't turn out to be as planned. This time destiny defeated me and how!
Still, even on this note, I would keep supporting my eternal saying( which i have filed a patent for) that fate IS fiction. These are big words but if fate is 1 up this time, i can definitely strike the next time. Destiny always has something up its sleeve. It pushes you to the extreme, challenges you, giving the chance to come up harder and bounce back. That's only the role it plays and nothing more. You could either pen down that book called fate or let fate become the writer of your 'life'. Its your choice all the way.

An ‘experience’ called life
I had been thinking upon writing something apart from movies for quite a long time but was not able to get any substantial discourse. But then my recent turmoil (couldn’t find any other word for it) that I had been going through for the past 7-8 months; pushed me to write about it.
Our whole life we keep on thinking about just one thing –the end result. And in most cases this end result or destination( as some people like to put it to make it seem more sophisticated ) is how much money we can make out of a particular input –in short Profit. We are forced to choose a career based on just one thing….how much will we earn out of it..what is the starting package…and what is the highest salary that we can get there. Nothing wrong in that though; but when we still look deeper, we apply the same principles to almost everything. Why am I doing this thing.?? what benefit will it give me in the long run? Will this person or thing help me in reaching towards my goal? Again..the same thing..End result. That’s all we want today.
It would be a blatant lie if say I don’t care about the end. Infact I am too a part of this ‘running towards the end’ phenomenon. But what I have came to realise after pondering over this for a while is that our main concern should always be what I call is the EXPERIENCE. We have all forgotten the value of this invaluable gem. We are always reading these things in every book available on motivation to ‘live the moment’ , ‘every second counts’, but how many of us actually follow it ? The point I want to make is that even if we are not earning enough money during a particular phase of our life; or going through a difficult time, we should enjoy that experience also. Easier said than done..agreed; but if we follow this principle ,eventually we will start enjoying our life more than ever. And when we start enjoying doing something, success is bound to follow.
Enough gyaan given for the day…even I am feeling heavy now after reading this.

Black Friday
Based on a book written on the 93’ Bombay bomb blasts and directed by Anurag Kashyap, this movie was marred by controversies before it was finally released in 2007. And after watching this movie, you will be left with just two words for it…..Bloddy Awesome.
Rarely does a movie that is completely based on true events, entertains you like a thriller. Throwing caution to winds, the director uses backward way of storytelling and starts from the investigations after the blasts have taken place. He opens his cards one by one instead of spoon feeding the audience. Dividing the story in chapters just like the original book had done adds to the excitement. The acting of all the actors (and there are a lot of them) is pitch perfect so much so that you feel they must be actually the people who have been a part of that bomb blast. But not giving a special mention to the person who played the badass tiger memon, would be doing complete injustice to him. Pawan Malhotra, probably the most underrated actor who still hasn’t got the roles (except this one) of which he is capable of. I still wonder why he didn’t get any award for his exceptional performance in a negative role. Ditto for kaykay ,another exceptionally gifted actor. But, such are the drearies of life…Hope the next time such an ensemble of actors come together the national awards or atleast our popular bolly awards take notice….

Movies oR MagiK
It was very obvious for me that I would choose my second blog writing about movies. Many people often question me as to why I am so passionate about them, why I keep track about this whole filmdom and zilch idea about my electronics concepts and other important stuff such as economy, politics etc etc…I don’t have any clue about this too. Maybe its my belief that movies can create magic. Yes, those 2 or 3 hours we suspend our imagination and allow ourselves to take this journey a director has crafted for us. Sometimes this journey can be very tiring and plain useless thanks to some of the wonderful talent this industry produces….but sometimes some movies can make you think, can make you change your opinions, or maybe just make you laugh, make you cry or entertain in anyway possible in those three hours. And there, according to me ,lies its magic. Each and every person can have a completely different take on a single movie which just makes them all the more special and intriguing.
Signing off here, I will be discussing some of my favourite and thought-provoking movies but which seldom get their due, in my coming blogs along with other topics…so for now, Hasta la vista, baby:)

My first blog
I had been thinking of writing my own blog since this whole blogging hoopla was created by some tech geeks but never had a chance to do so or should I say, left it for some other time. Procrastinating is one of the many talents I have nurtured over the years and it is something I am very proud of :) Anyways, now in this 2010 A.T i.e After Twitter, what I am doing here writing lengthy, cumbersome piece of stuff when everybody just wants to see no more than 160 words; the answer is still a mystery to me.
Now,coming to the main point. Why should anyone read my blog? Well,I have nothing new to offer to anyone, nor any sophisticated literature full of colloquial words that jump over my head into the nearest available dictionary. I am just here to satisfy the budding writer inside me. Mostly you will get to see my takes on different movies as that is one area which makes my world go round..and of course sometimes books too. Apart from that anything and everything that comes to my mind for sharing with my readers( if there are any), I will put forth here. So, that’s about it. Get ready for “Now Showing”
